Israeli forces shoot dead Palestinian man during West Bank raid

Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian man within the occupied West Bank on Friday, marking the seventh fatality this week as President Mahmoud Abbas aimed to revive statehood discussions amidst ongoing efforts to deepen Israel’s ties with the Middle East.

The Islamic Jihad group claimed the 18-year-old as a member. In an announcement, they mentioned he was shot whereas confronting Israeli troopers who raided the village of Kafr Dan close to the northern West Bank metropolis of Jenin.

The Israeli navy claimed troopers opened fireplace at suspects who shot at and hurled an explosive gadget at its forces throughout a weapons search operation in Kafr Dan. “A hit was identified,” it mentioned in an announcement.
