Japanese and Taiwanese firms equipped tank elements by way of China to Russia amid sanctions over Ukraine‘s battle, a media report claimed on Friday.

An individual allegedly related with the Belarusian authorities arrange an organization in China in 2022 after Russia’s battle in Ukraine to buy elements from Japanese and Taiwanese firms to be later equipped to Moscow, Nikkei Asia reported.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s authorities is an in depth ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the report, the proprietor established its firm Shenzhen 5G High-Tech Innovation in China’s Guangdong province in 2022 and commenced to obtain precision instrument elements for motors, sensors and different gear wanted to make tanks and different weapons.

The firm bought elements made by Metrol, a producer of precision positioning sensors in Tachikawa, Tokyo; Oriental Motor, a Tokyo-based maker of small precision motors; and a number one machine software maker in Aichi prefecture.

It is claimed Shenzhen 5G High-Tech Innovation despatched the elements to Belarusian arms maker SALEO and the LLC Laboratory of Additive Technologies and later it was despatched to Russian tank maker, UralVagonZavod to supply T-72, T-90 and different mainline Russian tanks.

However, Japanese firm Metrol and Oriental Motor rejected any direct contact with Russian or Belarusian firms and stated they by no means engaged in direct offers with Shenzhen 5G.

Taiwan’s Economy Ministry stated that they adopted restrictions on commerce with Russia and Belarus according to the Group of Seven (G-7) nations.

“The scope of our restrictions on the export of high-tech goods to Russia is in line with those of our allies, such as the U.S., EU, the U.K. and Japan,” Nikkei reported, quoting an unnamed consultant of Taiwan’s ministry as saying.

“If, in the future, international allies include LLC on their regulation list, we will ban Taiwanese manufacturers’ exports to this company,” he stated.
