Jordanian Interior Minister Mazin Al Farrayeh introduced Friday the closure of the Jaber border crossing with Syria, the one operational crossing between the 2 nations, citing safety considerations.
The choice, reported by the official news company Petra citing Al Farrayeh, was made “due to the surrounding security conditions in southern Syria.”
Under the directive, Jordanian nationals and Jordanian vehicles will likely be allowed to return to the dominion, however outgoing site visitors to Syria will likely be prohibited.
