Kazakhstan has denied media stories claiming it banned the export of 106 kinds of dual-use items to Russia, calling the statements attributed to Deputy Trade Minister Kairat Torebayev as incorrect.
“Regulation of trade relations between Kazakhstan and Russia occurs in full accordance with the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). There are no bans on the export of any goods to the Russian Federation in connection with anti-Russian sanctions,” the Kazakh Trade Ministry stated in a press release late Thursday.
It stated Kazakhstan’s commerce in dual-use items is carried out in accordance with the nation’s worldwide obligations, which it stated are topic to export management.
Import, export, and transit of such merchandise is feasible solely with acceptable licenses, the ministry stated, including that “the export control of dual-use goods has been carried out for over 20 years in accordance with international export control regimes.”
Earlier, it was claimed that Astana suspended exports of products to Russia that can be utilized for navy functions corresponding to drones, their elements, chips, and particular electronics.
