Kazakhstan eliminated the Afghan Taliban motion from the record of terrorist organizations.

In an interview with Kazakh state news company Kazinform on Friday, the nation’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Aybek Smadiyarov identified that the Taliban are usually not listed as a terrorist group by the UN Security Council.

“Kazakhstan regularly conducts an audit of the national list of terrorist organizations banned in the republic in order to update it. As part of this process, it was decided to exclude the Taliban movement from it in accordance with UN practice.
