The Kremlin stated on Wednesday the opening of a brand new U.S. missile base in Poland was a part of an try to include Russia by shifting American navy infrastructure nearer to its borders.
The U.S. base at Redzikowo is a part of a broader NATO missile protect dubbed “Aegis Ashore”, which the alliance says is able to intercepting short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated President Vladimir Putin had objected to plans for the bottom way back to the 2000s, when George W. Bush was U.S. president.
He stated Putin had insisted on the time the United States was mendacity when it stated the aim was to intercept potential Iranian missiles.
“This is confirmation that President Putin was right. These plans continue to be implemented. This is the advancement of American military infrastructure on European territory towards our borders,” Peskov stated.

Peskov didn’t say what measures Russia would possibly absorb response.
