A 68-year-old wheelchair consumer died when he grew to become trapped between two carriages of a Berlin metro practice and collided with a barrier on the finish of the platform, police within the German capital reported on Sunday.
The passenger had tried to reverse onto the practice on the Brandenburg Gate station within the metropolis centre on Saturday night, when a wheel apparently acquired caught between the carriage and the platform edge, the report stated.
The man was dragged for a number of metres because the practice departed. He collided with a barrier and fell onto the monitor, the place he was fatally injured. He died on the scene, in keeping with the police report.
Traffic was halted for greater than 90 minutes. The Berlin transport authority (BVG) stated it was deeply affected by the accident and that its ideas had been with the sufferer’s kin and buddies.
