North Korean troops lately took half in fight in Russia’s Kursk area, two U.S. officers mentioned Wednesday.
One of the officers, talking on the situation of anonymity, mentioned they took half in fight on Nov. 4. The officers didn’t say whether or not there have been any North Korean casualties and didn’t present additional particulars on the engagement.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy mentioned on Tuesday that the primary battles between the Ukrainian navy and North Korean troops “open a new page in instability in the world” after his protection minister mentioned a “small engagement” had taken place.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov confirmed, in an interview with South Korean tv, that the primary engagement had occurred with North Korean troops, an obvious escalation in a battle that started when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
Earlier this week the Pentagon mentioned that there have been at the very least 10,000 North Korean troops in Kursk, including that between 11,000 and 12,000 troops have been in Russia altogether.
