Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is obstructing the continued cease-fire discussions, Palestinian resistance group Hamas stated Monday.
The group, in a press release on Monday, referred to as on mediators to intrude in opposition to what it referred to as “maneuvers and crimes” by Netanyahu.
Palestinians on Monday fled heavy battles in Gaza City because the Israeli army expanded an evacuation order 9 months into its relentless assaults.
Hamas has signaled it might drop its insistence on a “complete” cease-fire, a requirement Israel has repeatedly rejected.
A prime Hamas official, talking on situation of anonymity, informed AFP that mediators had provided assurances “that as long as the… negotiations continued, the ceasefire would continue.”
Netanyahu’s workplace reiterated in a press release that “any deal will allow Israel to return and fight until all the goals of the war are achieved.”
