No damage, deaths in 5.1 magnitude northern Morocco earthquake

No injury or deaths have been reported after Morocco’s Beni Mellal-Khenifra area was rocked by a 4.6 magnitude earthquake Tuesday, in line with native media.

The Moroccan state media had earlier reported that the earthquake was of 5.1 magnitude.

Social media customers reported feeling a tremor in Beni Mellal, however no vital injury was reported for the second, in line with moroccoworldnews.com.

Weaker tremors have been reportedly felt in Ifrane, round 23 kilometers (14 miles) from the epicenter, Beni Mellal, it reported.

Earlier final 12 months, over 2,900 individuals have been killed and 5,500 individuals injured when a shallow 6.6 earthquake rocked western Morocco.

The earthquake closely broken components of the traditional part of Marrakech and devastated a number of distant settlements within the Atlas Mountains.
