North Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Thursday introduced his resignation forward of upcoming elections on May 8.

“Today, I am doing what the law requires. I signed my resignation. Now I will submit it to the (Parliament) archive. We will meet with the Speaker of the Parliament (Talat Dzaferi),” Kovachevsky instructed the media in entrance of the meeting within the capital Skopje.

According to the regulation, the present authorities should resign 100 days earlier than the final elections deliberate to be held within the nation and a technocratic authorities should be established to organize the nation for the elections.

On Wednesday, North Macedonian parliament speaker Dzaferi mentioned that Kovachevski and he would resign from their positions.
