Ukraine’s Defense Ministry introduced on Tuesday that Norway will allocate NOK 5 billion ($455 million) in 2025 for the acquisition of artillery ammunition for Ukraine, reinforcing its ongoing army help amid the warfare with Russia.
According to the ministry, NOK 4 billion ($367.4 million) can be funneled via a Czech-led initiative, whereas the remaining NOK 1 billion can be offered through the European Peace Fund.
“We are grateful to Norway for its unwavering support! Artillery ammunition is one of the key needs for the Ukrainian army,” the ministry stated in an announcement on X.
The assist displays continued European backing for Kyiv because it faces crucial shortages on the frontlines, particularly in artillery provides.
