Palestinian resistance teams claimed to have captured a number of Israeli troopers after Hamas launched an operation in opposition to Israel in response to its assaults on al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, on Saturday claimed capturing a variety of Israeli troopers.
“We have captured many Zionist troopers who at the moment are our prisoners,” Abu Hamza, a spokesman for Saraya al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad group, stated in an announcement.
He added that the Al-Quds Brigades, alongside different Palestinian factions, carried out a sequence of operations as a part of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
There was no remark from the Israeli facet on the matter, however public broadcaster Israeli Broadcasting Authority stated “preliminary reviews point out the kidnapping of a variety of troopers to Gaza.”
Hamas stated it initiated the operation with rockets concentrating on enemy websites, airports, and navy installations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated “we are at war,” as the military introduced Operation Swords of Iron, initiating a large-scale operation.
