Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday dismissed General Oleg Salyukov, head of the army’s land forces, based on a Kremlin decree, marking the newest high-profile shake-up in Russia’s army management amid its ongoing offensive in Ukraine.
Salyukov, 70, will now work as a deputy to ex-defence minister Sergei Shoigu, who was faraway from his publish final 12 months and made Secretary of the Security Council.
