Russia concerned over possible consequences of assassination of Hamas leader

Russia is “concerned” in regards to the doable penalties for the Middle East after the killing of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar by Israel, the Kremlin spokesperson stated on Friday.

“The main thing for us is the consequences for the civilian population that we are witnessing. This is of significant concern to us. The humanitarian catastrophe that is being observed in both Gaza and Lebanon is a matter of serious concern to us,” Dmitry Peskov stated in a press briefing in Moscow.

On Thursday, Israeli military spokesperson Avichae Adree introduced the killing of Sinwar in Gaza, with Hamas confirming it on Friday.

Although the military didn’t specify the placement of Sinwar’s dying, Israeli media studies advised the operation passed off within the southern metropolis of Rafah.

Reports point out that Sinwar, Israel’s prime goal, was killed throughout a discipline confrontation, the place he was wearing a full army uniform, contradicting earlier Israeli claims that he had been hiding amongst Israeli prisoners in tunnels for months within the Gaza Strip.
