Russia has denied claims that pretend bomb threats focusing on polling websites in 4 US battleground states-Georgia, Michigan, Arizona, and Wisconsin-originated from Russian e mail domains as a part of election interference efforts.

The Russian Embassy in Washington dismissed the accusations, calling the allegations of Russian interference in Tuesday’s US elections “malicious slander.”

The FBI mentioned in an announcement on Tuesday that it’s “aware” of bomb threats made to polling places throughout a number of states, including that many seem to originate from Russian e mail domains.

“None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far,” mentioned an FBI assertion.

The assertion got here shortly after Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger confirmed that “non-credible” bomb threats originating from Russia have been made towards two polling stations in Fulton County.

According to media studies, the threats led to the transient evacuation of two polling places early Tuesday.
