The Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday printed a video displaying the deployment of a Yars thermonuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missile within the Kaluga area.

According to a ministry assertion, the missile has been deployed within the metropolis of Kozelsk, positioned some 264 kilometers (139 miles) southwest of Moscow.

The ministry mentioned that the Kozelsk missile unit is the primary in Russia that underwent reequipment with the Yars stationary-based missile system.

“The implementation of the measures planned for 2023 to reequip the Strategic Missile Forces with the Yars missile system will increase the combat capabilities of our country’s strategic nuclear forces,” the ministry mentioned.
