Russia says BRICS not discussing common currency

The BRICS nations aren’t discussing the creation of a standard forex, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Friday.

“There are no talks about establishing a common BRICS currency. Such discussions have not taken place and are not taking place now. Instead, BRICS is focused on developing new joint investment platforms to facilitate mutual investments and projects in third countries,” Peskov advised a press briefing in Moscow.

His remarks got here in response to threats by US President Donald Trump to impose 100% tariffs on BRICS nations in the event that they try and introduce a brand new forex or a substitute for the US greenback.

He refused to deal with experiences alleging that North Korean army personnel have suffered heavy losses in Ukraine’s Kursk area.
