Russia says downed drone over Black Sea near Sochi

Russia mentioned Saturday it shot down an assault drone over the Black Sea with air defence working within the southern resort metropolis of Sochi.

“Today at about 7.10 AM in Sochi (0410 GMT), air defence worked… a drone was shot down over the sea,” the governor of the southern Krasnodar area Alexei Kopaygorodskiy mentioned on social media. “There were no casualties or damage in the city,” he mentioned, including that the airport was working “normally” and that “the situation was under control.”
