The conflict in Ukraine can’t be stopped with out addressing the basis causes of the battle, the Russian overseas minister stated on Wednesday.
Speaking at a joint press convention together with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow briefed Bishkek on the most recent developments surrounding the conflict.
In this regard, Lavrov stated that Russia emphasised its dedication to attaining the objectives of its “special military operation” and resolving the battle by eliminating its root causes.
“The understanding that without this it will be impossible to achieve an end to the conflict is growing, including, by the way, in Europe and the United States,” Lavrov stated.
The Russian overseas minister additional stated that Moscow has notably underlined that it might solely speak about “reliable, legally binding agreements, which must include a mechanism to make it impossible to violate them.”
He stated that Russia welcomes the wealthy political dialogue it has with Kyrgyzstan on the highest degree and conveyed Moscow’s readiness to offer all essential help to Bishkek throughout its chairmanship within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
The CSTO is a army alliance consisting of Russia and the previous Soviet states of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
Kyrgyzstan assumed the chairmanship of the CSTO as of Jan. 1.
