Russian court fines Google about $78M for not complying with previous penalties

A Russian courtroom on Tuesday fined Google over 8 billion rubles (roughly $78 million) for not complying with earlier penalties given to the US-based firm.

A Justice of the Peace from Moscow’s Nagorny District discovered Google responsible of evading the implementation of an administrative penalty, stated an announcement by the press service of courts within the Russian capital on Telegram.

The assertion stated the corporate was fined simply over 8 billion Russian rubles for the offense.

It didn’t specify the executive penalty the corporate was discovered responsible of.

In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Google and YouTube, each of that are owned by Alphabet Inc., of utilizing on-line assets to “promote their governments’ political goals.”
