A Russian strike on the centre of the southern Ukrainian metropolis of Kherson killed seven individuals on Tuesday, the regional prosecutor’s workplace stated.
Video printed by the area’s governor confirmed particles and damaged glass strewn round a market, whereas a number of our bodies lay on the pavement.
“Around 9 am (0600 GMT) on October 1, Russian forces struck the centre of Kherson, allegedly with cannon artillery,” the prosecutor’s workplace of the Kherson area stated on Telegram.
“The shelling took place near a local market and a public transport stop. So far, it is known that seven civilians — three women and four men — were killed,” it stated.
Kherson metropolis lies on the western financial institution of the Dnipro river, a de-facto entrance line between Russian forces within the east and Ukrainian forces within the west.
Russian forces withdrew from the town in November 2022, retreating to the opposite aspect of the Dnipro, however they’ve stored up intense shelling of Kherson.
