Six primary-school college students had been killed and 14 others had been injured when a fridge truck veered into a gaggle of youngsters within the southern Iraqi metropolis of Basra on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry stated in a press release.
The driver misplaced management after the truck’s brakes failed and plowed into a gaggle of scholars from a close-by major faculty who had been strolling on the roadside within the city of Hartha, on the northern outskirts of Basra, police and witnesses stated.
Hospital sources stated a few of the wounded youngsters are in essential situation with extreme head accidents.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani ordered a direct investigation into the deadly accident, his workplace stated in a press release.
