Britain will push NATO allies to bolster help for Ukraine and enhance protection spending through the alliance’s overseas ministers assembly in Brussels on Wednesday.
Foreign Secretary David Lammy will attend the NATO assembly to name for a rise in help for Ukraine and underscore its dedication to 2.5% protection spending, in response to a Foreign Office assertion.

“As Ukraine endures a third winter since Russia’s full-scale invasion, he will call on Allies to boost their military assistance and ensure Ukraine continues on its irreversible path to NATO membership,” it stated.

The assertion stated that failing to extend Euro-Atlantic help, will “embolden an increasingly aggressive” Russia, and power allies to take a position much more sooner or later.

Lammy acknowledged that funding in Ukraine’s safety is “investment in Euro-Atlantic and global security.”

“This government has been clear that Europe must do more together now by increasing defence spending,” he added within the assertion.
During his go to, Lammy will meet key allies, together with the Finnish, Danish and Turkish overseas ministers, the assertion stated.
Since the beginning of Russia’s battle on Ukraine in February 2022, the UK has offered £12.8 billion ($16.2 billion) of help to Kyiv.
