The United Nations migration company warned Monday that the scenario in war-torn Sudan was at a catastrophic “breaking point” with tens of 1000’s of preventable deaths looming.

“Without an immediate, massive, and coordinated global response, we risk witnessing tens of thousands of preventable deaths in the coming months. We are at breaking point – a catastrophic, cataclysmic breaking point.”
War has raged since April 2023 between the Sudanese military beneath Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, led by his former deputy Mohamed Hamdan Daglo.
