The United Nations is transferring a few of its worldwide employees and their dependents out of Iran quickly attributable to security issues, a U.N. spokesperson mentioned on Tuesday, after Israel ordered new army strikes on Tehran.
“The U.N. has decided to temporarily move some non-programme critical international personnel as well as the dependents of international personnel,” Alessandra Vellucci, Director of United Nations Information Service in Geneva, instructed reporters.
She declined to touch upon how many individuals have been affected.
