The United Nations human rights chief on Friday demanded the United States carry sanctions it imposed on 4 International Criminal Court judges, saying they had been opposite to the rule of regulation.

“I call for the prompt reconsideration and withdrawal of these latest measures,” he mentioned.
“Attacks towards judges for efficiency of their judicial features, at nationwide or worldwide ranges, run instantly counter to respect for the rule of regulation and the equal safety of the regulation — values for which the US has lengthy stood.
“Such attacks are deeply corrosive of good governance and the due administration of justice,” he mentioned.
