The UN Security Council (UNSC) on Thursday strongly condemned the terror assault in Afghanistan‘s capital that had a number of deaths and lots of injured.
“The members of the Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to peace and security in Afghanistan, as well as in the world,” the 15-member Council mentioned in a press release.
The Council expressed its “deepest sympathy and condolences” to the victims’ households and wished a “speedy and full recovery” to these injured.
It referred to as for holding the “perpetrators, organizers, financiers, and sponsors” of the assault accountable and urged all nations to cooperate with related authorities in step with worldwide legislation and Security Council resolutions.
The Council reaffirmed that terrorism is “criminal and unjustifiable,” no matter motivation, and careworn the significance of combating the threats whereas adhering to worldwide legislation and human rights requirements.
A suicide bombing in Kabul killed no less than six civilians, together with a girl, and injured 13 others on Sept. 2.
Police mentioned the assault, which focused authorities workers as they had been leaving work, was claimed by the Daesh/ISIS terror group.
