The UN Security Council will convene an emergency assembly Wednesday to handle the assault on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
According to a press release from a UN spokesperson, the assembly is scheduled for 10 a.m. (1400GMT) and will probably be carried out in an open debate format.
A draft decision from Brazil calling for a “humanitarian pause” in Gaza will probably be voted on through the assembly.
Previously, Russia and the United Arab Emirates collectively known as for an emergency session of the Security Council.
More than 500 folks had been killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital on Tuesday, Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra instructed Anadolu.
Footage on social media confirmed corpses scattered throughout the hospital grounds.
According to an Anadolu reporter, hundreds of Palestinians had been on the hospital when the constructing got here beneath bombardment.
