Unidentified drones have been noticed over three U.S. Air Force bases in England through the previous six days, a spokesperson for the USAF confirmed on Tuesday.
The U.S. Air Force (USAF) stated it was monitoring the airspace over East Anglia bases RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Feltwell after the drones have been seen in a single day.
USAF stated the variety of sightings “fluctuated and diversified between the bases” however they haven’t been recognized as hostile.
It comes days after the USAF confirmed {that a} small variety of “unmanned aerial techniques” have been noticed within the neighborhood of and over the three bases in jap England between Wednesday and Sunday.
U.Ok. authorities are working to make sure the protection of the websites.
USAF has not recognized who’s believed to be behind the incidents.
In an announcement, a spokesperson for USAF in Europe stated: “We can affirm there have been sightings yesterday (Monday) throughout night-time hours and may solely affirm that the quantity fluctuated and diversified between the bases over the night time.
The three bases, two in Suffolk and one in Norfolk, are leased by the USAF from Britain.
A spokesperson for Britain’s Ministry of Defence stated they “take threats seriously and maintain robust measures” at protection websites.
“We are supporting the U.S. Air Force response,” the spokesperson added.
