The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated Tuesday that it destroyed eight Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed aerial methods (UAS) in a Houthi-controlled space of Yemen previously 24 hours.
“Additionally, accomplice forces efficiently destroyed one Houthi uncrewed aerial car (UAV) over the Gulf of Aden, CENTCOM stated on X, including there have been no reported accidents or injury.
It stated the methods offered an “imminent threat” to US and coalition forces and service provider vessels within the area.
The Pentagon stated Tuesday that the Houthis have failed to discourage the US and the worldwide group from persevering with to function within the Red Sea.
“They’ve conducted over 190 attacks, the vast majority of which have been knocked down thanks to US and international efforts to help safeguard shipping and the lives of mariners through operations,” spokesman Pat Ryder instructed reporters.
