US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday reaffirmed Washington’s opposition to any reoccupation of the Gaza Strip by Israel in addition to any discount of its measurement.
Blinken’s remarks have been in response to a plan for post-war Gaza put ahead by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, by which the Israeli military would have “indefinite freedom” to function all through Gaza.
“Gaza… cannot be a platform for terrorism. There should be no Israeli reoccupation of Gaza. The size of Gaza territory should not be reduced,” Blinken stated in Buenos Aires the place he was attending a G20 assembly of overseas ministers.
