US will keep helping Taiwan in its self-defence, senator says in Taipei

The United States will proceed to help Taiwan with its self-defence and needs to see peace throughout the Taiwan Strait with out coercion or the specter of power, a visiting U.S. senator advised President Lai Ching-te on Friday.
