West Bank, East Jerusalem stand still in protest to Israeli attacks

Life within the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem got here to a standstill Sunday amid a basic strike condemning the Israeli operations within the blockaded Gaza Strip.

“The comprehensive strike includes all governorates of the West Bank, and it represents a Palestinian message of anger over the crimes of the occupation,” Wasel Abu Youssef, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, informed Anadolu Agency.

He identified that the army operation in Gaza “requires international intervention to protect the Palestinian people.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Education, in the intervening time, closed down all instructional establishments.

Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on Saturday and mentioned the shock assault was in response to the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and elevated settler violence. It mentioned it fired rockets and captured many Israelis.

At least 350 Israelis have been killed and over 1,860 injured within the assault, whereas a number of troopers and civilians have been captured by Hamas and brought again to Gaza.

Israel retaliated with a sequence of airstrikes within the Gaza Strip, which left at the least 313 Palestinians useless and practically 2,000 injured, in accordance with the Palestinian Health Ministry.
