Ali ErbaÅŸ, the President of Religious Affairs, participated within the occasion “Coming Together in Morning Prayer with Family” held for Palestine and Gaza. Prior to the occasion at Kapu Mosque in Konya, ErbaÅŸ led the morning prayer.
In his speech to the congregation, ErbaÅŸ confused that Allah‘s intention in creating humanity is for the aim of testing them.
ErbaÅŸ, stating that everybody sees the murders, evils, and injustices dedicated on the planet, spoke as follows: “According to our Prophet‘s teachings, we should take action against any wrongdoing. If we are unable to physically intervene, we should speak out against it. And if even that is not possible, we should at least detest it in our hearts. In light of the ongoing violence and loss of innocent lives in Palestine, failing to act, speak, or feel appalled would leave us questioning our role within the ummah.“
Emphasizing the importance of taking important measures to stop injustice, ErbaÅŸ warned that failing to take action would in the end impede efforts to fight wrongdoing.
ErbaÅŸ emphasised the long-standing custom of this ummah and nation supporting the oppressed towards oppressors all through historical past. He affirmed, “We will uphold our principle of standing with the oppressed, as it brings solace to the souls of our martyrs. In honor of our predecessors who sacrificed their blood and lives for the Islamic lands, it is our duty to carry on this legacy. We must instill this mindset in our youth.”
ErbaÅŸ highlighted the deep-rooted empathy of our nation in the direction of Jerusalem, Gaza, and Palestine, which is pushed by a way of compassion that extends to all humanity. He urged for a common response, posing the query: “Are we not human enough to take action simply because those suffering in Gaza are Muslims? If they were Christians facing injustice there, we would also stand up for them. This is an enduring tradition from the time of caliphs like Umar, Saladin, and Osman Gazi to Mehmet the Conqueror’s protection of Christians after taking over Istanbul.”
