As Hezbollah confirmed the assassination of its chief Hassan Nasrallah in Israeli airstrikes on a Beirut suburb, speculations concerning a possible successor have intensified.

According to sources, Hashem Safieddine will most certainly succeed Nasrallah, who led Hezbollah for 32 years till his loss of life on Friday.
