Yahya Sinwar becomes new Hamas leader to replace Haniyeh

Hamas introduced that its Gaza chief Yahya Sinwar would change the Palestinian group’s assassinated political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh.

In an announcement on Tuesday, the group stated Sinwar had grow to be its new chief.

“The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announces the selection of leader Yahya Sinwar as the head of the political bureau of the movement,” an announcement from the group stated.

Sinwar has not made any public appearances since Oct. 7.

Like Haniyeh, Sinwar was additionally born in a refugee camp in Gaza after his household was expelled by Israel.
