Türkiye‘s retail gross sales quantity elevated by 17.2% year-on-year in August, the nation’s statistical authority stated on Wednesday.
In August, meals, drinks and tobacco gross sales rose by 15.3% whereas non-food gross sales elevated by 24.2% and gas gross sales dropped by 1%, on a yearly foundation, based on TurkStat.
Retail turnover with present costs soared by 87.5% in August 2023 versus August 2022.
On a month-to-month foundation, retail gross sales quantity noticed a decline of 4.7%.
“Food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 0.1%, non-food sales decreased by 5.6%, automotive fuel sales decreased by 9.0%,” it added.
