French judges on Wednesday issued an worldwide arrest warrant towards Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for committing crimes towards humanity.
Al-Assad was accused of committing crimes towards humanity within the city of Douma and the district of Eastern Ghouta in August 2013, utilizing banned chemical weapons, the human rights group Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression mentioned.
