Police officers in Germany searched the houses of about 20 individuals Thursday in reference to investigations into the far-right Reichsburger, or the Reich Citizens motion.
Reichsburger adherents reject the legitimacy of Germany’s postwar structure and have similarities to followers of the QAnon motion within the United States.
The suspects, aged between 25 and 74, are accused of forming a felony group, officers mentioned.
They “insulted and in some cases massively threatened state institutions across Germany on a large scale, mainly via social media,” Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann mentioned, in line with German news company Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa).
