European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic on Saturday demanded that hospitals in Gaza to be protected, calling for a direct de-escalation of hostilities.

“The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is beyond words,” Lenarcic stated on social media platform X, including “I urge the warring parties to de-escalate immediately!”

“Hostilities are severely impacting hospitals, and taking a horrific toll on civilians and medical staff,” he stated, noting that the worldwide humanitarian legislation is unequivocal.

He confused: “Hospitals must be protected.”

For days, the Israeli military has escalated its assaults on hospitals within the Gaza Strip, launching violent raids that resulted in deaths and accidents, in addition to nice concern in regards to the destiny of the displaced folks taking shelter in hospitals.
