Israel arrests Palestinian activist Tamimi for ‘inciting terrorism’

Prominent Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi was arrested by the Israeli army from the West Bank city of Nabi Saleh on Monday.

“Ahed, 23, was arrested in a raid on our house,” her mom Nariman Tamimi, instructed Anadolu Agency.

She stated Israeli forces searched the home and confiscated the household’s mobile telephones.

Tamimi’s father was arrested by Israeli forces throughout a raid within the city final week.

“Ahed Tamimi was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence and terrorist activities in the town of Nabi Salih” close to Ramallah, a military spokesman instructed AFP. “Tamimi was transferred to Israeli security forces for further questioning.”

In 2017, Tamimi was arrested by Israeli forces after a video went viral displaying the younger lady, then 16, pushing and hitting Israeli troopers who tried to enter her household dwelling.

She was later handed an eight-month jail time period for “attacking” an Israeli soldier.

Tamimi has since change into a global image of Palestinian resistance towards Israel’s occupation within the West Bank.
