At least 15 folks have been killed, and over 70 others have been wounded after an Israeli aerial bombardment focused the Al-Fakhoura School within the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza on Saturday.
“An Israeli airstrike targeted a school serving as a shelter for Palestinian refugees in Jabalia, resulting in 15 deaths and 70 injuries,” Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra instructed Anadolu Agency (AA).
Earlier on Saturday, the Palestinian Interior Ministry mentioned: “A number of Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an (Israeli) occupation airstrike on the Al-Fakhoura School, which was serving as a shelter for thousands of displaced Palestinians in the western part of the Jabalia (refugee) camp.”
The Al-Fakhoura School, administered by the U.N. Agency for Palestine Refugees or UNRWA, has housed 1000’s of displaced as a result of ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, which is nearing the 30-day mark.
The bombing occurred amid Israel’s relentless assaults on Gaza, concentrating on civilian aims and infrastructure, although such assaults normally are violations of the principles of warfare.
The newest strikes embody an assault on extra faculty housing, displacing folks in northern Gaza City, concentrating on two ambulances and hitting the neighborhood of three hospitals, leading to casualties. Additionally, a water reservoir in japanese Rafah was not too long ago hit.
The Israeli military this week expanded its air and floor assaults on the Gaza Strip, which has been beneath relentless airstrikes since a shock offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.
