Israeli navy bulldozers obliterated the memorial honoring the late Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, located on the entrance of the Jenin refugee camp within the occupied West Bank.
“Israeli forces stormed town of Jenin and the outskirts of its camp, and a navy bulldozer started razing Martyr Abu Akleh Street and her memorial,” witnesses instructed Anadolu on Friday.
The witnesses defined that “the army deliberately vandalized the street and destroyed the memorial of Abu Akleh.”
The Palestinian Health Ministry mentioned that 4 Palestinians have been killed early Friday by Israeli military gunfire, together with three in Jenin metropolis.
Shireen Abu Akleh, a senior Al Jazeera journalist extensively revered for her intensive protection of Palestine and Israel, was shot within the head on May 11, 2022, whereas overlaying an Israeli navy raid on the Jenin refugee camp within the West Bank metropolis of Hebron.
She was sporting a blue vest marked “PRESS” and a helmet.
