The Israeli Health Ministry on Sunday stated the variety of Israelis injured because the begin of the armed battle with Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7 has risen to five,132.
In a press release, the ministry stated 47 of the injured persons are in critical situation.
The Israeli dying toll stands at 1,400 since Oct. 7, in line with Israeli official statements.
The battle in Gaza, underneath Israeli bombardment and blockade since Oct. 7, started when Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged shock assault that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air. It stated the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and rising violence by Israeli settlers.
The Israeli army then launched Operation Swords of Iron towards Hamas targets within the Gaza Strip.
At least 4,385 Palestinians, together with 1,756 youngsters and 1,000 ladies have been killed in Israeli assaults on Gaza.
