Slovenia‘s prime minister is being investigated over suspicions that he breached integrity with unauthorized strain on Interior Ministry workers.

According to the state-run RTV Slovenija, an anti-corruption fee launched a preliminary investigation into the case based mostly on a report obtained final December. The report alleged that Prime Minister Robert Golob pressured then-Interior Minister Tatjana Bobnar and different ministry workers, leading to Bobnar’s resignation final December.

Some of the allegations from the report are nonetheless being checked in a preliminary examination, stated the fee in an announcement.

The assertion added that the suspicions of violations can be confirmed or rejected based mostly on additional investigations.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated Golob had obtained a notification from the fee about beginning the investigation, including that he would “present all relevant facts and thereby disprove all suspicions.”
