The United States has data that the Russian navy is executing troopers who don’t comply with orders associated to the warfare with Ukraine, the White House mentioned on Thursday.

“We have information that the Russian military has been actually executing soldiers who refuse to follow orders,” White House spokesperson John Kirby advised reporters.

“We also have information that Russian commanders are threatening to execute entire units if they seek to retreat from Ukrainian artillery fire,” Kirby mentioned.

Representatives from the Kremlin, the Russian protection ministry, and the Russian embassy to the United States didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark concerning the situation.

Russia’s ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, in a touch upon the Telegram messaging app, made no reference to the White House allegations.

But referring to the most recent navy support bundle to Ukraine of $150 million, Antonov branded the U.S. transfer as “provocative and inflammatory actions in the international arena that look more like pouring oil on the fire” than attempting to ease battle. “It is long past time to halt the mindless multi-billion dollar flow to the bankrupt Kyiv regime,” Antonov wrote on Telegram. “Time to stop showing total disdain towards the opinions of your own citizens and indifference to the growing number of victims dying from American weaponry.”

Ukrainian officers mentioned on Wednesday that Russian forces have been disregarding heavy losses and urgent on with a drive to seize the jap Ukrainian metropolis of Avdiivka.

The United States has strongly condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and has been offering important support to Kyiv.

Kirby mentioned Russia’s mobilized forces have been undertrained, underequipped, and unprepared for fight. He mentioned the navy was utilizing “human wave tactics” by throwing teams of poorly educated troopers into the combat.

Kirby mentioned threats to execute the troopers was barbaric.

“I think it’s a symptom of … how poorly Russia’s military leaders know they’re doing and how bad they have handled this from a military perspective,” he mentioned.
