WHO urges Israel to refrain from killing Gaza civilians, aid workers

The World Health Organization (WHO) mentioned civilians and humanitarian support employees shouldn’t be focused, as Israel continued to bomb the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus’ remarks got here after the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) mentioned 11 staffers have been killed in Israeli airstrikes within the Gaza Strip since Saturday.

“Our heartfelt condolences to their households and the entire UNRWA group. WHO stands with you,” mentioned Tedros, noting he’s devastated by the deaths of his UNRWA colleagues

“Civilians and humanitarians are not a target and must be protected at all times,” he added.
