Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced plans Wednesday to proceed a counteroffensive for the rest of 2023 and 2024.
“We have a plan, concrete cities, concrete directions, we have a goal where we will go, in which direction will we lead the offensive,” he stated at a video news convention on YouTube.
The Ukrainian president admitted difficulties on the frontlines and stated Ukraine didn’t succeed as a result of it acquired fewer weapons from the West than anticipated.
“We will try to show results this year,” he stated. “We have a plan for next year, but I can’t share its details,” he stated.
Zelenskyy additionally stated that “some people” anticipated “rapid success” for the Ukrainian counteroffensive, apparently referring to remarks by Ukrainian commander-in-chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi who informed the media earlier that the Ukrainian battle is at the moment at a “stalemate.”
